About Us

Smokeyes: (pronounced “Smoke-Eyes”). We are a bunch of old friends who have been camping and fishing together since high school (late 70’s early 80’s). In our first official event in 1989  (when the trophy first appeared on the scene) we had forty one plus attendees. Since then it has whittled down to a core of six or eight of us, plus another three or four who sometimes show their faces. We have fished the Merritt to Kamloops area lakes extensively and in the last fifteen years have started seriously salmon and halibut fishing. 

We use this site simply to document our events and adventures – we hope you enjoy it.
